JS Vann, the former creative director for Garrison Bespoke (and one of our best-dressed Torontonians) who’s outfitted some of the city’s biggest names (Drake, for instance), has opened his own suiting shop in Corktown. The Dirty Inc. is dedicated to crafting completely bespoke suits with a fashion-forward edge. “My personal thing is pushing people to explore their own style,” he says. For example, he recently designed a streetwear suit made completely from jersey material. The looks are made possible by one of the largest and most unique fabric selections in the city (amassed from years of building industry connections): current works-in-progress include bright red pinstripes, a subtle camo pattern and a bold leopard-print lining. At the studio, in-house fabric cutting, multiple fittings (in between hand-sewing sessions) and final adjustments mean clients get to see everything come together. Prices start at $1,000 and move up based on the type of fabric used (the highest of rollers can choose one that’s melded with black pearl).
