Marathon committee meetings are pretty much a hallmark of the Rob Ford era now, with not one but two sleepovers and the ongoing budget deputations at city hall. This time around, most of the deputants have espoused roughly the same reasoning and rhetoric, but there have also been some gems along the way: Doug Ford cutting a $1,000 cheque because that’s just how he rolls after he found one woman’s deputation particularly moving, and John Campey of Social Planning Toronto’s map that overlays localized program cuts with income levels across the city.
