House of the week: $2.18 million for a one-of-a-kind Etobicoke pile with a creek in the yard

ADDRESS: 100 North Drive

NEIGHBOURHOOD: Edenbridge–Humber Valley

AGENT: Angela Lynn Jones, Re/Max Professionals Inc.

PRICE: $2,175,000

THE PLACE: Set on a truly massive 100-by-300-foot lot, this Edenbridge property combines a sleek, ’70s design with 21st-century amenities. The sloped ceilings, open layout and one-of-a-kind windows allow for unusual (but beautiful) natural light.

BRAGGING RIGHTS: The house has an actual creek running through the backyard, which can be enjoyed all summer long. In the winter, new owners can pass the snowy months in the wine cellar’s adjacent tasting room.

BIG SELLING POINT: The yard, with aforementioned creek, is truly expansive. With a large hill and trees everywhere, it makes for a great hide and seek setting for kids. For adults, a pool and patio overlook an Etobicoke ravine.

POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER: Despite its existing sprinkler system, this landscaped property will need plenty of attention. Get ready for some mowing and hoeing.

BY THE NUMBERS:

$11,877 in taxes
5 bedrooms
3 bathrooms
2 fireplaces
2 family rooms
1 wine cellar
1 wine tasting room
1 creek
