Toronto’s Top Delivery: East

RAW FISH FOR TWODelivery Time
SUSHI BAR
Sushi bar delivers well-priced, fresh, imaginative maki and nigiri. With over 200 choices, the menu can be overwhelming, but who’s complaining?
What to order: The Love Boat sushi and sashimi plate for two is excellent value at $46 for nine sashimi, 12 sushi and 16 mixed rolls. Buttery scallops balance atop rice quenelles beside thick slabs of Atlantic salmon and crimson tuna.

701 Queen St. E., 647-351-3138

GREEK FEASTDelivery Time
KALYVIA
This Danforth bastion delivers massively portioned Greek staples like calamari, souvlaki, lamb chops and the usual dips. A warning: the garlic is intense.
What to order: The moussaka ($14), topped with creamy béchamel and thin rounds of tangy eggplant, comes with garlicky tzatziki tempered only slightly by cucumber and chewy pita. A mound of rice and crispy golden roasted potatoes round out the traditional trifecta of Greek starches.

VEGAN FOOD

BELMONTE RAW
Carole Belmonte’s raw food restaurant specializes in organic, gluten-free, sugar-free vegan fare. The menu changes every two days, and there’s an extensive juice detox program.
What to order: The beet slaw with ginger-sesame nuggets brings a bright tangle of beets, carrots, bok choi, yellow pepper, jicama, sprouts and lentils in a ginger-tamari vinaigrette. Orders have to be placed a day ahead, and there’s a $60 minimum.

PUNJABI CLASSICSDelivery Time
SHER E PUNJAB
An unexpected Punjabi gem in the middle of Greektown, this family-run restaurant has been cranking out sizzling tandooris and rich curries since 1975. Vegetable dishes arrive still steaming.
What to order: Keema egg curry ($10) with minced beef, peas and a hard-boiled egg is a gently spicy, crowd-pleasing alternative to butter chicken ($10). It’s best scooped up with flaky, charred naan that’s almost too hot to touch.
Delivery zone: South of O’Connor between Broadview and Woodbine.
351 Danforth Ave., 416-465-2125
