An alarming number of billboards and radio ads feature Leeza Gibbons gushing about the Backstreet Boys. What is she doing here? —Jorge Dos Santos, Bloor West Village

We are not the only metropolis to be graced with jumbo-sized head shots of the bubbly journo. The former Entertainment Tonight anchor is the spokesperson for 11 different American adult contemporary radio stations across North America, from KBIG in her hometown, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia’s WMWX to Toronto’s successful CJEZ-EZ Rock. An avid fan of Phil Collins and sax god Kenny G, Gibbons is not only a self-professed adult contemporary connoisseur, but also the host of her own syndicated radio show, Hollywood Confidential. Broadcast on over 125 stations (including our own EZ), her chatty program features TV, film and fashion gossip, which explains the ad’s tag line: “I get enough talk at work. I want the music... 97.3 EZ Rock delivers.”
