This slice of the Danforth is vibrant and multicultural. Heading east, the Greek butchers and souvlaki joints near Pape slowly give way to Ethiopian restaurants and shawarma joints, with the odd Thai, Mexican and sushi place thrown into the mix. The large, diverse Muslim community surrounding the Madinah Masjid near Donlands recently helped fundraise for the mosque’s $4 million renovation, which includes the addition of an almost-completed dome. Foodies can get their locavore fix at the Tuesday farmers’ markets held at East Lynn Park from May through October. Home prices are over $400,000, on average, with semis generally going for over $500,000. There is a popular Kimbourne toddler drop-in program on Wolverleigh Boulevard, which also offers weekend programming.
