Though it calls itself a tapas restaurant, the portions are more like tapas’ larger cousin, raciones, which one finds throughout Spain. It’s a minor quibble; after all, chef Mali Fernandez, one of three sisters who own this dark and romantic spot, offers otherwise authentic Spanish cooking. The chorizo, sautéed in brandy, perfectly balances its richness with intense paprika heat. For her paella, Fernandez uses bomba rice that’s deeply golden, fragrant with saffron and laden with tender seafood, chicken and chorizo. Flamenco shows five times a week; call for schedule. Small plates $8–$13.
