Leslieville is the city’s brunch capital, with blocks on end of bacon, eggs and snaking weekend lineups. This Indian-accented nook drew a crowd almost as soon as it opened last spring—east-side brunch connoisseurs know something special when they taste it. Menu standouts include eggs bhurji, a heaping helping of scrambled eggs dotted with peas and onions, zinged with mildly spicy garam masala and chilies, and sided by mesclun greens and gorgeously fresh baguette slathered in good unsalted butter. Specials are always intriguing, such as soft corn tortillas piled high with juicy shreds of tandoori pulled pork, scrambled eggs, roasted-tomato salsa and creamy avocado sauce. Coffee, teas and juices are all excellent.
