This is where U of T students come for something more sophisticated than the bento boxes and falafels that dominate the Annex’s restaurant row. With a preponderance of sun-dried tomatoes and pesto cream sauces, the menu reads as if unearthed from a time capsule circa 1992, but the cooking is consistent and crowd pleasing. Topping-heavy pizzas are good but not refined enough for Neapolitan aficionados. Pastas, like rigatoni with wild boar sausage and mushrooms in a basil-kissed tomato sauce, are a better bet. Friendly servers handle the busy room with aplomb. Mains $19–$30.
