Sporting white aprons with hair to match, the grizzled line cooks offer a warm greeting as patrons enter this festive restaurant. Neither the menu nor the decor deviates from other Danforth souvlaki joints, but the cooking is solid, the portions are massive, the booze is cheap, and the service is snappy. Appetizers are a strong suit: keftedakia (meatballs) are both plump and juicy. The moussaka is first-rate, too: layers of spuds, soft eggplant and allspice-scented beef reside under a roof of creamy béchamel.
