A complete redesign in early 2011 gave this space a new feel, although the massive Douglas fir table will be missed. Groups large and small can take advantage of chef David Chrystian’s tapas-inspired menu, served family-style on shared platters. Notes of originality elevate his comforting, mostly locally sourced dishes. On one night, it’s a treat to see sturgeon on the menu; here, the firm, oily fish is paired with bacon-flecked brussels sprouts and braised fennel. The well-chosen wine list is on the pricey side, with 15 available by the glass. Mains $12–$38.
