This darling, atmospheric bistro is like something out of a dark and moody Caravaggio painting reimagined by David Lynch. Rich bundles of boudin noir arrive on creamy celeriac purée with crunchy arugula and crisp apple salad. It’s a decadent dish, with amazing texture and flavour. Ribbons of pappardelle come generously tossed with earthy toasted pine nuts, salty Parmesan, tomatoes, garlic and a chive-infused olive oil; it’s comforting, hearty vegetarian fare. Weezie’s has a fresh take on the gourmet burger: a nicely seasoned, juicy beef patty comes simply adorned with red onion, tomato, lettuce and cheddar. There are only two desserts, but when one of them is a dense and buttery Malva pudding, it barely matters. Mains $15–$28.
