The grilled cheese has a dreamy golden crust; the corned beef is under-seasoned and gristly. The chicken gravy on the poutine is too salty but undeniably delicious, and deep-fried mac-and-cheese is crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside. Carrot cake is moist, dense and bigger than your face.
