This U of T hang is a dark, cavernous place, but incredibly friendly. Up front, kitschy Christmas tree bulbs dangle over regulars (a mix of locals and raucous students, with the odd prof thrown in for good measure). The tightly packed tables are usually brimming with cheap pitchers of brew ($15) and pints of sangria ($5.95). Around 30 varieties of tea are the beverage of choice for lonely hearts; smokers vie for coveted spots on the small sidewalk patio. Cheap food (including all-day breakfast) allows for late-night snacking. Outkast, Ben Harper and a dash of punk round out the music for the night. Cash only.
