Though this spot occasionally offers classic Canadian scenes—three TVs blaring hockey, cheers erupting with each goal—the beer at Castro’s is more sophisticated. The fridge brims with more than 100 fancies from every corner of the globe, and 13 beers are available on tap, including German brew Hacker-Pschorr Weisse. "’We serve mainly micros and imports," says owner Asim Ozses. "’If you want a Blue, then go somewhere else." Weekly events include live music on Sunday, Monday and Thursday, and DJs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
