Condo of the Week: $1 million for a hip townhouse next to the National Ballet School

ADDRESS: 277 Mutual Street

NEIGHBOURHOOD: Church-Yonge Corridor

AGENTS: Diane Speer and Jayna Tyne, Royal LePage Urban Realty

PRICE: $995,000

THE PLACE: A three-bedroom brick townhouse in Radio City, a residential development built next to the National Ballet School during the institution’s massive overhaul in the 2000s.

BRAGGING RIGHTS: The space’s artsy decor, skylights and upgraded lighting are courtesy of current owners Barr Gilmore and Michel Arcand, designers whose other collaborations include the Tim Burton exhibit at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and the Blue Line Room at the Gladstone Hotel.

BIG SELLNG POINT: The townhouse’s residents have access to the gym and other amenities in the neighbouring condo buildings, but pay much lower maintenance fees than the towers’ residents.

POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER: The galley kitchen is pretty and bright, but many buyers will be looking for larger spaces for cooking and entertaining.

• 1,996 square feet
• $520.95 in monthly maintenance fees
• 131-square-foot private parking area
• 3 levels

awesome…. love it all…. except the kitchen is just a little too narrow for me… the owner must be an artsy person , you know what i mean…. lovely!!!

looks like nothing but an Ikea showroom..
everything about it looks cold-and grandstandish.. looks like it could double as a hipster office space- doesn’t look like a home- $ 1 million- shyah right?

Amazing deals. If I had enough money then I would have bought it. Furniture and interior is really awesome. I have seen the same furniture in a Famous Donegal Hotel but that is not for sale.
