Real Estate

Condomonium: $1.8 million for a penthouse suite in the HarbourView Estates

ADDRESS: 10 Navy Wharf Court, Penthouse 5

NEIGHBOURHOOD: Waterfront Communities–The Island

AGENT: David Harland, Harvey Kalles Real Estate

PRICE: $1,799,000

THE PLACE: This 46th-floor penthouse suite with floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautiful view of the lake (which you can from the master bedroom Jacuzzi—yes, the tub is in the bedroom) sits atop one of the HarbourView Estates buildings.

BRAGGING RIGHTS: The space is wired. Inspired by the LED lights illuminating the nearby CN Tower, the living area features a glass façade that glows and changes colour, remote-controlled shades, a 600-watt Geneva sound system and a 60-inch LG television.

BIG SELLING POINT: Amenities, amenities, amenities. As local developers continue to try to one-up each other, the luxe condo offerings get more and more ridiculous. Here, you have access to a 30,000 square-foot SuperClub, which boasts a 25-metre pool, squash, basketball and tennis courts and, yes, bowling lanes.

POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER: Too much technology can be spooky—need we remind you what happened to the parents in Ray Bradbury’s The Veldt?—and, well, garish.

The condo is obviously beautiful- but I do not get the lights thing. I don’t see how it is something people would want, but maybe my taste is just totally off.

    A little small for $1.8 million…

  • J

what is with the tubs in the bedrooms? That is super weird.

  • kiran

There is nothing in city place worth 1.8m

  • me

    I absolutely LOVE this condo!!!

  • Moi

ICK…….stuck in the middle of all the buildings
For that price I would want SUPER PRIVACY!

  • KH

That tub looks SO WEIRD. It looks like they were in the middle of moving it towards the bathroom and then realized it wouldn’t fit through the door or something. Maybe because the room is otherwise to sparse looking? Also, the placement of the couches is so weird, if you have a view like that .. .why would you want to face the wall?

YOu would be such a looser with way too much cash to throw away $2mil at Cityplace!!! Come on!! Toronto’s upper St Jamestown in the making….crazy! Nicely decorated but to say you lived @ Cityplace in a $2mil condo ? Get real!!

  • T-dot

Asking $1.8 mil and those are the best sheet sets you can find for photographs? Seriously?
