The latest participant in Rob Ford’s unfolding crack scandal? Apple

Torontonians have grown used to seeing Rob Ford on late-night TV and on foreign newscasts, but the latest measure of the mayor’s international infamy is, if possible, even more bizarre. Apple—yes, that Apple—is reportedly helping Toronto police access cell phone data related to Project Brazen 2, the ongoing investigation into Ford’s hidden life.

According to the Star, Toronto police have been granted several Ford-related search warrants over the past few months. One of those warrants allowed them to go to Apple for help unlocking an iPhone that belonged to the mayor’s friend Alexander “Sandro” Lisi. Apple has also provided police with audio and video recordings connected to the phone.

Last fall, Lisi was arrested on extortion charges related to his alleged efforts to prevent Ford’s crack video from being sold to reporters. In October, under court order, Crown prosecutors released a massive police document that detailed secret meetings between Ford and Lisi, during which the two men appeared to drink together and exchange packages with unknown contents. Lisi and Ford were most recently spotted in each other’s company last month.

No details about the contents of Lisi’s iPhone have yet been made public, but we may know more soon. The Star and other media outlets are seeking access to a new batch of police documents, including the ones that led to Apple’s involvement in the Ford investigation. And so there’s a very good possibility that yet another stack of heavily redacted Ford information could be coming our way in a few months’ time, conveniently just as the mayoral campaign is starting to heat up.

Alexander Lisi is such a scumbag and a waste of air, can’t we just lock him away already?

Apple has now joined in the pinko commie conspiracy against Ford, for aiding the police in their smear campaign. ;)

    leftist democracy-haters, all of them.

If he’s a leftist then he wouldn’t be using the term pinko commie. Learn your left and rights. And I don’t see how not liking a cell phone company getting involved with an investigation has anything to do with democracy.

ok, for one thing, I was being sarcastic, like the OP, sorry if that was unclear. Also, I was talking to the OP, not ABOUT them. Rob Ford is the one that would say Apple is run by democracy-hating leftists.

I know the difference between left and right.

How can we lock Lisi up when Ford is still wedeling around. Anything Lisi is charged with was while being directed by Ford. One is no more guilty than the other. Ford has something on Chief Blair. Maybe the fishing trip paid for by tax payers that Doug Ford brought up after Blair had the bald faced nerve to say he was disappointed for Toronto when the unseen crack smoking video surfaced. It’s too bad the whole thing couldn’t be turned over to the RCMP. Who cares about Lisi? There are thousands just like him walking the streets but they aren’t posing as mayor or trying to run for mayor.

Well there is one theory going around. Remember Siad? He was the drug dealer supoplying Ford and the one who took the video. It was reported in some media (but difficult to find these days) that he said that he “not only supplies Ford but many other A list politicians and the police”. So Rob knows that Blair knows just who these “other A list politicians and police” are:. and Rob knows that Blair does not want to blow the whistle on these people. Siad offerred the video in exchange for a plea bargain and was turned down by the crown. Then his lawyer recused himself. Then Siad was stabbed while in police custody. Guess the druggies got the message to shut up or else. When Siad and the others (rounded up in Project Traveller)subsequently appeared in court they all acted like gentlemen. When the shooter of Anthony Smith pleaded guilty that was interesting. The police claim it had nothing to do with the video at all and was just a gang fight. Nobody wanted these druggies to take the stand under oath. His accomlice just recently had his murder charges stayed (stayed means they can be relayed within a year) Interesting to think it all through.
The Ford family fingers reach up into all levels of power and influence and a lot of A list politicians are quaking in their boots
