Bento boxes and teriyaki plates are whipped out to tables of first-daters and after-work minglers at this ever-popular two-storey Yorkville place. The hurried army of red and black brocade–robed staff ferries the generic sushi-house favourites at breakneck speed. A thin teriyaki crust shielding tender grilled yellowtail collar makes a good start, but a dragon roll brings a rope of soggy tempura shrimp with wet, caked-on sushi rice topped with an over-broiled sliver of barbecued eel. Faith is restored with the rice-less salad roll, successfully juxtaposing a supple raw salmon wrapper with buttery avocado, crunchy fish roe and refreshing shredded cucumber.

Busted for using toxic escolar in place of tuna by Ben Ho from Toronto on 2013-03-13

I never get stomach ache -- till I had one piece of 'White Tuna' here. I thought maybe I ate too fast, then happened to catch Dr Oz's fake food the next day, saying one trick for sushi places is to switch white tun for similar-looking but naturally-toxic Escolar! Which is banned in many countries BTW, but not Canada.

I first called Toronto Public Health, got big runaround from incompetent staff, then sent me to CFIA Feds, they sent me back to TPH. TPH reported the restaurant told them it is the same thing, different -- total lie. Back to CFIA, they just confirmed that they were indeed selling Escolar. DO NO TRUST THIS RESTAURANT - DO NOT GO THERE.
