Much about the three-storey King East restaurant feels totally outdated (loungey room, globally inspired menu), but that’s not always a bad thing. At its best, the cooking is a reminder of how exciting fusion was when it arrived in Toronto in the ’90s. For example, a dainty cornet of fried nori, filled with ahi tuna and avocado-jalapeño mousse and seasoned with spicy miso flakes, is a creative riff on chips and dip. The kitchen occasionally falters on execution—a nicely cooked fillet of black cod lacks the promised chai glaze, while palak paneer naan brings a paltry amount of cheese. A lemon grass crème brûlée with barely sweet espresso ice cream is a refreshing and inventive way to end the meal.

I've tried to find something bad to say but... by Nadia Ayachi from Toronto on 2013-03-15

3 floors, an excellent decoration, an efficient and smiling staff, a great atmosphere either to have a drink with some friends or business meeting. Location is good too. I really appreciated the food and the fact that music allowed us to talk without having to shout. I definitely recommend Kultura and made it my new spot..

Last month corporate event that I attend made me come back for a dinner in Kultura. I love the ambient, especially second floor and service was on on the same professional level both times. My husband is a big steak lover so I wanted him to try their sous-vide beef tenderloin and he was very satisfied. Like our kind server suggested, mushroom orechiette are must to have and we didn't regret. We started with mediterranean naan and chicken samosas and finished with pork tacos and tofu noodles. Since we love tapas style restaurants and in Kultura we can have variety of food from different places for reasonable price, I'll be glad to come again to try new, different things.

Best night of my life!

I don't normally do this, post reviews of restaurants online, I'm no fancy food critic, but I had such a fantastic time at Kultura that I was compelled to do so. Here we go, I was celebrating my Mother's 55th birthday and lets just say my mother is not an easy one to please, believe me I've been her son for 33 years. I was skeptical at first, thinking that I would never be able to find a place that would accommodate to my mother's needs, several restaurants have failed .... But! This place came highly recommended from one of my trusted work out buddies at the gym and lets just say it did not disappoint.

The food, oh my god the food! It was indescribable but I'll describe it. We first started off with Ahi Tuna cornnets hmmm sooo good ( Deep fried Nori seaweed made in to a shell with tuna in it??? my mind was blown). We then moved on to Confit Naan (It was Naan with duck on it , I didn't know you could do that and I loved it). The duck was so good it had us at the table saying " Duck, Duck, Duck!" cause that's all we wanted lol. Then we tried the Pork belly tacos and Seared Scallops and they both good approval from my mother so I don't need to say anything else. For our main dish we got the scrumptious Lamb shank and irresistible Mushroom Orecchiette ( If you go to Kultura and don't get this then you're missing out!). Lastly we got our dessert and because it was my mom's birthday they gave us this lavish dessert platter. It came with doughnuts, creme bulee, lava cake and the best part this pumpkin cheesecake. It was so good, if I was able to have that cheesecake every day of my life I would never say diet starts tomorrow.

The place was beautiful, the atmosphere out of this world, the service so lovely ( Once again I like to thank the staff for accommodating my mother and her constant inquires of raising a lowering the temperature of the room). The night... Unforgettable

I have heard about Kultura from my friends for months....Finally my boyfriend took me there for my birthday...along with 6 of our best friends. i don't usually frequent these travel sites but just had to after our experience last weekend. We arrived a little early (15 minutes) we were greeted by a very nice hostess that showed us to the bar until our table was ready.

There we met Emily...our bartender for the evening. She was such a nice girl....she knew all the drinks we were wanting to try....everyone wanted something different...just for fun. We were all laughing and joking with her while we waited for our table.

Our server came and got us right on time.....this was a first for me....we usually end up waiting in other Restaurants when it is this busy on a Saturday night....very impressed.

We ordered nice bottle of wine to compliment our meal. Very nice....my boyfriend is very fussy on his wine.....I just loved it and so did he.

We looked at the menu....had a hard time trying to figure out which dishes to try....In all I think our table ordered quite a few of them. I wanted the European Sea Bass I have heard so much about and wanted to try the Mushroom Orecchiette. The mushrooms were so good....I wanted more. Sea Bass was excellent.....I love my fish dishes and all I can say is "Wow". All of my friends enjoyed their meals....my boyfriend had the lamb....well he is so impressed he wants to come back next week.....

All I can say is the meal was "perfect"......our server was excellent everything was brought out on time and done to perfection. I had the best Birthday ever!

I had a hidden agenda for this visit....I am looking for the perfect restaurant the cater my parties at Christmas and New Years.....well I found it.....they are catering my parties I just booked them for my Corporate Christmas Party and my private New Years Eve party in my home. I also talked Emily into bartending my company party.

I know I will not wait that long to come to Kultura again....It is #1 on my list of places to go for an exquisite dinner. It is just a beautiful place.

I will recommend it to all my friends. Five star Fine Dinning.
