Purple banquettes, aubergine walls, crystal chandeliers, pink cocktails and a chocolate boutique up front—Moroco is the opposite of a man cave. There’s clearly someone with brains and talent in the kitchen, so a cafeteria staple like croque monsieur is crispy and ooey-gooey in all the right ways, with plenty of ham, a pot of grainy mustard and a tidy pile of well-dressed greens alongside. The only failing is the bumbling, albeit cheerful, service.
