Twin Fin 2005 Shiraz
Someone has finally figured out that shiraz belongs in California and can deliver real value. This example crosses French syrah and Aussie shiraz influences, with smoky charcoal, burnt chocolate, clove and black pepper flavours atop dried cherry fruit. Mid-weight, good acidity, sinewy, but with well-proportioned dry tannin. A bit coarse, best 2009 to 2012. LCBO 34132
