Sterling 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon

Fleshed out with merlot, cab franc and petit verdot, this is one of the classier reds on the LCBO general list, and a decent value in this premium price tier (many inferior Napa cabs cost more). A complex, soft, elegant bouquet of blackberry, cedar, vanilla, tobacco, licorice and herbs is the main attraction. Quite full bodied and supple on first tasting, then it builds to a powerful, dry, slightly earthy finish, with excellent length. Best for drinking from 2010 to 2015. Vintages Essentials. LCBO 314575
