Smoking Loon 2006 Chardonnay
For a 2006, this yellow-gold chardonnay is surprisingly mature, with intense clove, smoke and varnish notes, atop ripe, almost dried orange-pineapple. It’s fairly full bodied, hot, sinewy and woody, but the orange and spice do linger. Now to the end of 2009. LCBO 55509
