De Loach California Series 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
De Loach of Sonoma was purchased by Boisset of Burgundy in 2003 and is expanding into large-scale production. A merlot and zinfandel have joined the general list, as well, and are similar in quality and style. This is a lively, almost high-strung young cabernet with bright currant fruit, celery, tobacco, lead pencil and mild oak spice. A bit like young bordeaux, sinewy, green and dry, but with tension to match with lamb. LCBO 89250
