Bonterra 2006 Chardonnay

From the largest organic producer in North America, this is very cleanly made (with none of the funkiness once associated with organic wine). It has a stern edge but nicely proportioned apple-pineapple, vanilla and cinnamon flavours. Medium-full bodied, fresh and solid, with a lemony, spicy finish. Very good length. Better for dinner (grilled shrimp) than as an aperitif sipper. Vintages Essentials. LCBO 342436
