Beringer 2007 California Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
A mid-weight, juicy and fresh young red with correct cabernet flavours—a rare achievement for a $10 cab. Expect currant, red pepper, herbs and considerable oak spice, plus a touch of matchstick that should dissipate in a few months. It’s nicely supple, with good acidity and dry but soft tannin. Very good length. Best 2010 to 2013. LCBO 113001
