KWV 2007 ROODEBERG
This multi-grape cabernet-merlot-shiraz-based blend predates the apartheid sanctions era in the mid-’80s (KWV was a powerful co-operative of winemakers). There’s likely some pinotage in the mix, given the cran-rhubarb and white pepper aromas. It’s mid-weight and lively—not as thick as many Cape reds. LCBO 7187
