KWV 2005 Roodeberg

85 Scores are assigned on a 100-point scale and reflect a wine's overall quality, but don't consider price.

80 to 84  good
85 to 89  very good
90 to 94  excellent
95 to 100  outstanding
Price Description
The four-digit LCBO number indicates Roodeberg has been around for a long time; so long, in fact, that it pre-dates the international sanctions slapped on the apartheid government in the ’80s (lifted in 1994). It’s a mid-weight Rhône-style blend, with well-integrated plum-cherry fruit, herbs, tobacco and leather. Old school but well made, smooth, sweet and sour, with dry tannin. Fairly good length.
