Oyster Bay 2007 Merlot
The new vintage is an improvement over the odd, acetic 2006. Pours a deep purple-ruby colour. Very lifted aromas of green cedar bough, blackcurrant, licorice and cinnamon. Medium weight, with an elegant middle if still a bit youthfully tannic on the finish. But sweet fruit carries well, so age it. Best 2010 to 2012. LCBO 692343
