Oyster Bay 2005 Merlot
Considerable acetic acid has emerged recently; noted in three different tastings of this vintage. Cedary oak is prominent, with some plum, blackberry, beef consommé and, yes, a vinegary note. Sourness rescued by bitter chocolate and toasty oak. Vintages.
