CJ Pask 2006 Roy's Hall Cabernet Merlot
This winery has made a name for itself with Bordeaux-style reds, which are not a strong suit in N.Z. This is certainly a lighter version, with cool-climate green notes expressed as juniper and mint, along with currant-berry fruit and leathery notes. Quite savoury and well balanced. Very good length.
