The new vintage shows very ripe blackberry–raisin pie, coffee, licorice and classic Italian leather. Deeply coloured, smooth, a touch sweet and warm. Some sourness cuts the heat and richness; fairly tannic. Very good length. Now to 2012. Vintages Essential.
