Tenuta San Guido 2004 Sassicaia

90 Scores are assigned on a 100-point scale and reflect a wine's overall quality, but don't consider price.

Price Description
I disagree with Wine Spectator’s 94-point rating. Maybe I have a bias after years of being underwhelmed by sassicaia, Italy’s most famous wine, but not without effort; I’ve done three different vertical tastings and have yet to be blown away. This vintage, tasted twice, is no different. Excellent flavour depth, solid and complex, but sinewy to the point of tartness. LCBO 480533
