An old standby; this is a hearty, rich sangiovese. Complex, well-integrated fig-cherry fruit, smoke, leather, cedar and forest-floor earthiness. The wine is medium-full and smooth, with chokecherry tang that is typical of sangiovese. Dusty tannin; very good to excellent length. Drink now or age through 2011.
