New listing. This wine is similar to barbera reds from Piedmont, Italy. Agiorgitiko (also called St. George) is one of the better indigenous red grapes of Greece. This version is from 30-year-old vines found at a higher and cooler altitude in the Peloponnese. Lifted dried cherry fruit character, leather, herbal complexity with some barnyard earthiness. The wine is mid-weight, well balanced and dry, with excellent length. Now through 2010.
