François Pélissié 2007 Croix du Mayne Cahors
This blend—85 per cent malbec, 15 per cent merlot—falls between generous New World and restrained Euro styles, with malbec’s pretty, juicy plum and blueberry aromas, plus leather, earth and spice. It is full bodied yet surprisingly soft; Cahors is usually more terse and tannic. Best 2010 to 2013. LCBO 28548
