Santa Rita 2008 120 Sauvignon Blanc
The best Chilean sauvignon at the LCBO, this wine is strikingly intense, almost explosive on the nose, with bright, lifted aromas of passion fruit, nettles, lime and grapefruit. A touch sweeter than some of the competition, but elegant and zesty, too, with pepper and mandarin on the finish. New Zealand–like, but N.Z. can’t touch this quality at $10. LCBO 23606
