Santa Carolina 2005 Carmenère

Carmenère has a tendency to be overly green, to the detriment of its popularity. But if grapes are picked at full ripeness, it offers reds of incredible concentration at a great price. This may be too green for some, with lifted pepper, flint, green carrot top and blackcurrant. Full bodied and dense, with surprising elegance. Very good to excellent length. Best 2009 to 2013.
