Santa Alicia 2007 Carmenère Reserve
The number one selling carmenère on the LCBO general list is a pleasant, smooth and savoury wine, but it lacks the fruit vitality of most Chilean reds. Instead, the nose leans to cedar, lead pencil, tobacco and dried currants. It’s mid-weight and slightly sweet, with a dusty herb finish. Best to 2011. LCBO 309302
