PÉREZ CRUZ 2008 CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVA
From a large estate hugging the base of the Andes, this one is an intense, mineral-driven cabernet with a nose of blackcurrant jam, menthol, leather and background oak toast. It’s dense and smooth, with an engaging sweetness, warm alcohol and dusty tannin. There’s also a nice sense of Bordeaux-like lead pencil mineral in the background. Now through 2014.
