Errazuriz Max Reserva 2007 Shiraz
From the first Chilean vineyard to plant shiraz in the mid-’90s, this rich example has a lifted bouquet of juniper, blackcurrant, mincemeat and a lightly toasty character (more like cabernet than shiraz). It’s medium to full bodied, with firm acidity, considerable alcohol and tannin. Needs a year or two for the elements to knit. Serve with pepper steak or game. Best 2011 to 2014. LCBO 614750
