Jackson - Triggs 2006 Proprietors’ Reserve Meritage
Merlot dominates this three-grape, bordeaux-inspired blend (meritage is the New World generic name for this combination). It’s very well made, medium bodied, firm yet savoury, with raspberry-currant and herbs, nicely decked out in smoky and chocolate undertones from 16 months of aging in French and American oak. A bit dry and stony on the palate; very good length. Best 2009 to 2012. LCBO 526228
