White burgundy fans, take note. This estate chardonnay is maturing but shows better grip, structure and concentration than most from the vintage. It displays peat smoke, cashew, fried onion and poached pear aromas and has excellent length. Most other 2006 chardonnays at this price are flimsy by comparison. LCBO 81653
