Cattail Creek 2006 Riesling Reserve

84 Scores are assigned on a 100-point scale and reflect a wine's overall quality, but don't consider price.

85 to 89  very good
90 to 94  excellent
95 to 100  outstanding
Price Description
This first vintage from a new winery on the Dyck family vineyards is a flagship riesling from old vines, some planted in 1976. The vine age and warmer microclimate have produced a powerful, dense, bone-dry riesling. A touch of sulphur– wet wool impedes the dried pear and pineapple fruit (thus the rating), but this may dissipate. Excellent length. www.cattailcreek.ca.
