Maxwell 2004 Four Roads Shiraz

92 Scores are assigned on a 100-point scale and reflect a wine's overall quality, but don't consider price.

80 to 84  good
85 to 89  very good
90 to 94  excellent
95 to 100  outstanding
Price Description
Robert Parker has rated this wine 91; I rate it a bit higher because it not only exudes power but also captures solid, age-worthy structure in the manner of long-lived European reds, without being too lean. It even has cedar and lead pencil notes, reminiscent of a maturing French red, plus generous ripe blackberry fruit. Excellent length on the finish. Best 2009 to 2015, maybe longer. LCBO 57000
