Rutini 2006 Trumpeter Merlot

Quality has slipped a bit in this vintage, though it still provides merlot cuddliness. Nose is less fruity, with grainy-cereal character partially blocking the raspberry jam and anise. Soft and warm, with dry tea bag–tasting tannin. Good length. LCBO 467985
