Fuzion 2009 Shiraz Malbec
It’s remarkable that a wine less than a year old could taste so mature, with dusty, leathery, tobacco flavours. There’s dried fig and cherry with sage and peppery spice from the syrah and a floral note from the malbec. Could the Fuzion secret be the blending of these varieties? It’s medium weight, soft, sweetish and spicy on the palate, with easy if slightly gritty tannin. Very well done for the price, with good length. LCBO 83188
