Fresh $30 Gourmet [?]

Reviewed by Toronto LifeThe trendy, wood-lined room is crammed with the well dressed and the well toned—the sort of people who are on a first name basis with their spinning instructors—and they’re here to eat healthily, or at least pretend that they are. It’s a good place for both: you can get your virtuous Magic Tofu wrap and overpriced wheat grass shake with a side of indulgent, though spectacularly good, sweet-potato fries. Fresh Bowls are piled high with combinations of vegetables, tofu, brown rice and various seeds. The Beach bowl holds grilled red peppers, avocado, and zucchini zinged with a squirt of lemon. Free of dairy and refined sugars, desserts are deservedly popular, though the heinous faux cream cheese icing on the carrot cake proves you can’t go granola without a sacrifice.
