This cozy “Fish & Chips…and More” eatery sparkles with exceptional care and good cheer. Looking right at home, neighbourhood families and solo diners, books in hand, populate the tiny place. Soup of the day might be cream of carrot, nicely light on cream and sweet with carrot; or fish chowder, generous with chunks of fresh fish and potato but slightly over-salted. In mains, delightful halibut fillet, with a veil of light, tangy lemon-butter sauce, arrives flawlessly grilled alongside a large bed of fresh romaine, baby spinach and tomato. Mildly spiced yet flavourful blackened salmon fillet comes with a beautifully lemony caesar salad. For the sweet-toothed: crêpes with assorted fruit and ice cream make for a fine finish.
